Nobody is Reading This Shit

I think enough of us have agreed that W.Y.N.E will go back to its roots and occur in Eugene this year. There was some discussion that the weekend occur some time other than Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. That discussion promptly died. Seeing as I have no excuse not to attend (nor does anyone who lives in the Northern California/Pacific Northwest region) I will come whenever it is held. However, let me make the following argument for it occurring at its usual date and time:

1. Eugene weather always sucks - there is never any gurantee it will be good even if we had W.Y.N.E it in the middle of August;
2. Tradition says the weather is shitty and thus we have no choice but to stay inside and drink mindlessly;
3. Because it occurs during the same weekend every year, there is no question that it will occur. Trying to switch dates might result in bedlam and thus in not occurring at all;
4. We're all getting old. I need a full year to recover;
5. The convenience of MLK weekend is that no one has to take a day off.

I think the biggest concern the last two years has been lack of turnout. Seeing as no one, sans Vats, would have to fly this year, there is no excuse not to attend other than "you do not want to attend", which really isn't an excuse but is nevertheless more valid than "wah wah . .I have too much sand in my vagina . . . " and so on and so forth. In any event, I would agree to any date and time that would maximize turnout and participation.
